Just Who is Ernst Wolfgang?

In a quick and dirty run down, I'm married to a beautiful, intelligent, feisty, green-eyed creature named Ellen. She hails from a very historic town here in the commonwealth and her parents were very involved in Genealogy and found that we, my wife and me, are 7th cousins. This means we are blood relations but not for 250 or so years, so it's not like we're "kissing cousins". But here great-great-grandparents WERE brother-sister...just kidding.

I have a son from my first marriage, Ross, who is serving in the US Air Force and seems to be enjoying it VERY much. Although it relieves me that he's not deployed in Afghanistan or Iraq, he's strangely attracted by the allure of combat even though he is decidedly not a gung-ho type. But he wants to see the world, he's young, no commitments outside his convertible, so I don't blame him.

My wife has a daughter from her first marriage, Erin, who is in the 9th grade at Presentation Academy here in Louisville. She currently has dreams of becoming a veterinarian, but we'll see how school goes. She has a lazy streak but is immensely talented and will hopefully find her stride academically. We hope the combination of the Catholic education and the all-girls make-up of Presentation will give her a better chance to blossom. Personally, I think she will absolutely LOVE the camaraderie and spirit of the place. I'm very excited for her.

Our 9/11 Baby, Haydon, is a hoot. You're not sure from minute-to-minute whether you want to hug him or slug him. Often, he receives both simultaneously just for good measure. He's in 3rd grade at a local public school and we think he may be smarter, potentially, than all of us. We ain't Einsteins, but we ain't no slouches neither. You got any chew?

Pets include an elderly dog, Holly, who is 12 and probably will not see Xmas. Pepper is 5 months and a thorn in Holly's side. Lillie is the cat who loves anyone who'll feed her, though she does travel thru the house looking for bed-mates, I'm really her favorite but I REALLY hate her hair. Haydon also has a beautiful Siamese Fighting Fish, Blue, that has narrowly escaped the clutches Lillie, who is an excellent mouser, and survived numerous famines.
